General Visitor Policies

All visitors – meaning anyone who is not a Gilbertie's employee – must follow our health, safety and other rules, including the following:

​

• No one will be allowed on the Gilbertie’s premises without an appointment. To make an appointment to visit Gilbertie’s in Easton, please call 203-452-0913.

• For visitors who are not picking up orders or shopping, an appointment must be made at least 24 hours before you arrive. See below for other appointment lead times.

• Upon arrival visitors must sign in at the Gilbertie's office.

• Visitors will be accompanied by a Gilbertie’s employee for the duration of their visit.

• Visits are limited to 90 minutes.

• Visitors must comply with Gilbertie’s health, food safety, and other policies. These policies limit the areas where visitors can enter. Visitors must follow any other health and safety rules as instructed during their visit. Gilbertie’s reserves the right to require visitors to comply with other procedures.

• Photos and videos are not allowed without permission from Gilbertie’s management.

Order Pick-Up

• All Pick-Up Orders are to be submitted to Gilbertie’s at least 48 hours in advance of the expected pick-up time.

• All General Visitor Policies above also apply to visitors arriving for Pick-Up

• Customers will be given a time to arrive to pick up the order.  Orders not picked up in a timely manner will be restocked.

• Pick-Up Orders will include a Handling Fee of $100 for orders of less than $200 in plant charges.

• For smaller orders, please consider setting up an appointment with one of our staff at our retail store: Gilbertie’s Garden Center, 7 Sylvan Lane, Westport, Connecticut.  The garden center provides a 10% discount off of retail prices for wholesale customers.​​

On-Site Shopping/Walk-Through Orders

• Customers who would like to choose their own plants while at the Gilbertie’s must schedule a Walk-Through Appointment at least 72 hours in advance. 

• All General Visitor Policies above also apply to visitors arriving for On-Site Shopping/Walk-Through Orders

• The same Handling Fees and Minimum Order Amounts described under Pick-Up Orders also apply to On-Site Orders.

• Walk-Through Appointments during April and May occur only on Saturdays and Sundays.

• No more than two customer representatives may be present for the walk-through. 

• A Gilbertie’s employee must accompany the individuals at all times.
